Armstrong 12U Baseball Teams start the 2019 Season with BIG WINS!

Armstrong Athletics 12U Bronco Division Baseball teams, Brewers and Red Sox, started the 2019 Spring Season Inter-League play earlier this week with big wins over Butler Area Baseball teams. 

Monday, April 29, 2019: Armstrong Brewers: 14, East Butler 1: 2
The Armstrong Brewers, managed by Chris Hutchens started their 2019 Spring Season with a big win over East Butler 1 Monday night at Pawkovich Field in Worthington, PA. The first score of the game came in the 1st inning by Donovan Hutchens, who was hit by a pitch and reached first base and eventually stole home. Carson Delano had 12 pitches in the first inning with three strikeouts. East Butler came back in the 2nd, scoring 2 runs to take the lead, but was held scoreless in the 3rd inning facing pitcher Jake Graff. The Brewers ended the inning with a beautiful double play line drive, fielded by Carson Delano and a perfect toss to Tommy Luffey at 3rd base.

Rally time for brewers! Dominic Veri started off the inning at the plate with a walk, but was immediately driven home by Donovan Hutchens to tie the game. Timely hits from Aiden Morando, Carson Delano, Luke Stull, Jake Graff and Tommy Luffey helped the Brewers complete a 9 run inning!

East Butler, facing pitcher Dominic Veri, was held scoreless in the top of 4th, while the Brewers continued their hot streak. The Brewers started the bottom of the 4th with 1 walk and 1 hit by pitch that were eventually driven home by Jake Graff. Aiden Dosch sealed the game by stealing home to take the brewers to 14 runs!

Tuesday, April 30, 2019: Armstrong Red Sox: 13, Center Township 3: 2
The Armstrong Red Sox, managed by Michael Mills defeated Center Township 3 in four innings on Tuesday night at Pawkovich Field in Worthington, PA, with a final score Armstrong Red Sox: 13, Center Township 3: 2. The Red Sox played a solid game with strong pitching, fielding and hitting.

Both teams are 1-0 to start the 2019 Spring Season Inter-League play.
